We have been having such a great week! The weather has been beautiful, I have been enjoying walks after dinner with either a neighbor or one of the children. I am just so thankful for where the Lord has placed us to raise our family. Truly I'm living the dream.

Our days have been busy with lots of school work, we like to be done for May so we are in crunch time now. The older ones have been very diligent to work hard on their studies. It's so nice that the sun is out much longer now we seem to get much more done.
Tonight is our Friday night Bible Study, I have been looking forward to this all week. Everyone brings an appy we eat, visit and then we study the Word.

Looking forward to the weekend we are in the middle of a barn reno to get ready for chickens.
We also need to re-stock our wood for those chilly spring mornings. Then this Sunday we are having "family dinner" but with friends and that pretty much sums it all up.

Waiting for Spring

Waiting for spring takes a lot of patience. Just when we get a couple warm days and the snow starts to melt we end up with a few more inches. What did in fact melt just seems to get replaced. This makes going to town on a warm day extra nice although you leave the house dressed for winter and 30 minutes away your way over dressed.

Happy St. Patricks Day

We love St. Patrick’s Day! We started our day with a healthy
fun breakfast of Lucky Charms.Later in the day I made green shamrock soft pretzels for
snack time along with a story of the true meaning of St. Patrick’s Day. Then
later we will finish off our day with the older children watching St. Patrick the Irish Legend movie.

Choose Love

People are
often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered;Forgive them
anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior
motives;Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some
false friends and some true enemies;Succeed anyway.

If you are honest
and frank, people may cheat you;Be honest and frank anyway.

What you
spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;Build anyway

If
you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;Be happy
anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;Do
good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be
enough;Give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see in the
final analysis, it is between you and God;It was never between you and them
anyway.

Don't Believe a Lie

Motherhood is not a sacrifice!!!
A sacrifice is something you give up, saying motherhood is a sacrifice is like saying there is something better out there.
If the Lord has blessed you with children there is NOTHING else He wants you to be doing. Be committed to this season, give it all you got! Yes not all days are easy but you have something barren women would die for. Dig deep into the Word of God renew your mind, being a wife and mother is a noble honorable task!
Life isn't perfect nobody's is REJOICE anyway!

Last week proved to be very busy. Monday was our monthly home school meeting, it was pretty laid back meeting but a few people spoke and I was really encouraged.
Tuesday was an exciting day for us, we started visiting a retirement home. Every week we will be going in for a couple hours to visit. My big kids will be Wii bowling with some seniors. It was a great day; I really wish we had done this a lot sooner.
Thursday ~sigh~ Thursday I was having company over for dinner. As I was getting everything ready just served my guests a cup of coffee one of my children came running letting me know Jude was puking down stairs. I ran to him and sure enough puke is everywhere. I carry him upstairs and bathe him while my company waits get him some new clothes and continue getting things ready. Just as I get dinner on the table everyone is about to take a bite my poor little Rachael vomits through my kitchen  Whisking her off to the bathroom, Chris gets the floor cleaned up my poor company probably not knowing if they should stay or run as fast as they can, lol I call out from the bathroom that they can indeed RUN if they want. To my surprise everyone stay and eats, although I sure didn’t feel like eating. The next 72 hrs consisted of everything a stomach bug does I was bound to my bed snuggling my 3 feverish babies. I’m pretty sure I caught up on the last year of sleep. It’s now Sunday night and after a light dinner and bath I ‘m pretty sure everyone is on the mend.
Tomorrow my oldest turns 13, we are very excited for this milestone and are really looking forward to the years to come. I will be making one of his favorite meals and I would like to snap a few photos of him. Chris is taking him in a couple weeks on a father son trip to his first NHL hockey game. Our plan is to mark the switch into young adulthood with a trip with each child. 

IRREPLACEABLE YOU

I thought I would share my devotional today as it is very encouraging.

Sometimes the demands of home and family life make a mother feel pulled in too many directions. Yet this is not a bad thing, this is a great thing! This testifies to the high significance of her role. The amazing truth of motherhood is that a mother can and does meet multitudes of needs each day. She is a worker like no other, rising to the challenges of each situation, regardless of the personal sacrifice involved. This is one of the beautiful ways she exemplifies Christ to the world.
Each of her days is filled with accomplishing so very much, and each new day brings more to do. She is not to be pitied for being in such high demand, but rather praised. She is absolutely irreplaceable! Employees in the workforce strive to be irreplaceable in order to secure their jobs. They never want work to run out. An irreplaceable worker is envied, valued, praised and never pitied. That is you, dear Mother. Your job is not only secure, but eternally important. You are irreplaceable and highly esteemed!

C-C-C Crab

Story to go with our letter of the day.

Our poor foam crab was floppy and hard to hold up.
