Are we tired yet?

It's been a long week. Presley and Rachael got really sick Wednesday afternoon. They had really high fevers and complained of headaches. Saturday morning I decided to take them to the walk-in clinc where they found blood in their urine. :( So antibiotics were started and an u/s was booked for Presley. She told us to come back Monday morning if they weren't any better. Sure enough Monday rolled around and we went back the Dr. there wanted to leave it another 24hrs but my mommy gut told me No. I called our family doctor and we got in a couple hours later. They were so ill when we took them to him not able to stay awake at all. While we were there the Dr. found a heart murmur in Presley. We were sent to the hospital right away and told a Ped would meet us there.

So it turns out both Rachael and Presley have heart murmurs caused by the persistent fevers. Presley ended up with an infection in one of the valves in his heart. They had a ton of blood work done and showed their potassium was low and they were anemic. We still are waiting on results their blood was sent to Vancouver. Thursday morning we go back to the hospital to repeat all the blood work. To top it off Jude started running a temp tonight and crying his head hurt.

Nothing breaks your heart more than seeing your babies so sick. I woke up yesterday with a horrible case of pink eye, I have not had much sleep at all in about a week. But we will get through it. I have some of the most amazing supportive friends that have been there when ever I need them. :)

But in the the middle of the chaos of ill children we managed to buy a hobby farm!

When it rains it pours, doesn't it? What a hard week :( We pray your darlings get well soon and that, Yah willing, everything goes through smoothly with buying your new home.
