We Are the Models

We reproduce what we are in our kids. What we live, not what we believe, will come to live in them. Moses is an illustration of this principle:

• Just like his mom and dad, Moses lived by faith instead of by his five senses.
• Just like his mom and dad, Moses chose to please God by traveling upstream against the current, even to the point of disobeying the powers that be.
• Just like his mom and dad, he did not fear what the state would do to him; he feared God first.

Moses knew no lifestyle other than his upbringing of faith. His parents were unwilling to settle for the kings decree, the status quo, if you will. They modeled a life style of living for a greater King, in a greater kingdom.  What will be said of you? What are you choosing to be as a mom and as a dad?
