Baby Fat
Look at these cheeks! Avocados are full of fat, and they are the perfect first solid foods for baby. Did you know a medium size avocado contains approximately 700 calories and up to 30 grams of fat WOW! All this fat does amazing things to that growing brain.

Maidin’ Monday
Since I am feeling a little tired today. I thought I would join a few friends and do their * Maidin' Monday* There is stuff I'd like to get done but so far today, I have gotten dressed. Here is the list!
- Empty fridge *check*
- Wash out fridge *check*
- Wash kitchen floor *check*
- Dunk Diaper and wash *check*
- 1 load of laundry
- Folded and put away
- Change sheet in Master bedroom *check*
- Straighten out bedroom *check*
- Make DH a fantastic dinner:D *check*
ETA: I did my shopping and I am happy that I stuck to my $100 week. It is going very well. The menu planning has helped a ton.
Bummer I only got my diapers washed today. Oh well I think I did pretty good considering I had a very sad baby all day. She spent most of her day either in the Ergo or the sling. I find my Sling hard to do my house work in though. So when she was in there I was mostly standing there rocking the little muffin.
On the menu tonight
- Ranch Chicken
- Corn on the cob
- Chicken noodles
- Salad from our garden
I also at some point need to go do my shopping. But I haven't decided if I will go during the day or wait until DH is home and all go together.

My Sweet Boy
Trampolines are alot of fun. I had one growing up and so did Chris. We both remember sticking the sprinkler underneath on hot days and jumping with the bouncing water.
My 3 boys were enjoying this childhood treasure Thursday evening. I was out on the deck watching them play when my youngest boy slipped and next came the horrifying scream.
Thankfully Chris was home and he ran him up to the ER. The verdict was a Hairline Fracture.
It's now Saturday and he still is not walking. It amazing how calm the house is when the preschooler can't move. But you know what? that may sound funny but it also breaks my heart.

How Big is Our God!
“We succeeded in taking that picture [from deep space], and, if you look at it, you see a dot. That’s here. That’s home. That’s us. On it, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever lived, lived out their lives. The aggregate of all our joys and sufferings, thousands of confident religions, ideologies and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilizations, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every hopeful child, every mother and father, every inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every superstar, every supreme leader, every saint and sinner in the history of our species, lived there on a mote of dust, suspended in a sunbeam.
The earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that in glory and in triumph they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of the dot on scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner of the dot. How frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity — in all this vastness — there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. It is up to us. It’s been said that astronomy is a humbling, and I might add, a character-building experience. To my mind, there is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly and compassionately with one another and to preserve and cherish that pale blue dot, the only home we’ve ever known.”
This photo was taken by Voyager 1 in 1990 as it was returning from a space mission. The photo itself would not have been remarkable without the inspiring quote from Carl Sagan (an astronomer), that reminds us of how small we are, even though some times we think that we are the center of the universe, or even, the universe.

Leg Pains
First off I must start this post by say how awesome my husband is, and how easy he makes it to want to have a bunch more children.
So far all my children have woke-up in the nights with leg pains. And he is the first to jump up to rub their legs. I have read and researched every natural holistic way to treat this and so far all I have found that brings relief is a heating bag and Hyland's Calms 4 Kids.
